Designworks is happy to announce the beginning of an ongoing renovation project at 440 Galapago St. in Denver CO.  This Commercial Italianate style house in the Baker Historic neighborhood of Denver is beginning the long process of restoration and rectification.  Built in 1890 it had two additions to the original footprint prior to 1975.  The original structure consists of load bearing masonry, sand formed brick in this case.  The subsequent additions were of CMU blocks and stick framing, respectively.  There was also a Greek Revivalist porch added somewhere along the way that obfuscates the style.  The east elevation has a concrete block addition estimated at circa 1940 ish and there is a 1975 addition to the south side.  Below are some current condition pictures.
